New Class!
Scottish Dance, Movement & Culture for Kids and Parents

Kate Walker teaches this class for kids and their parents. Students learn rhythmic movement, lively jigs, reels, and elegant strathspeys, all of which promote social skills and self-esteem. Classes also include etiquette and Scottish culture.

Cost:

For all levels the first class is free. Come and try it!

Kids' Class: $15/child/month

Adult Classes:
$50 per quarter for ASCDS members, or
$55 per quarter for non-ASCDS members, or
$5 per class (i.e. per evening)

ASCDS membership = $10/year (Apr-Mar). No discount for partial years.

Attire:

Wear comfortable clothing that permits you to take long steps, typically a loose fitting skirt for women and slacks for men.

Wear soft-soled shoes. After you've been dancing for a while you might want to purchase ballet shoes (women) or dancing ghillies (men). There is no local source for dancing ghillies. Contact a teacher for information about how to purchase dancing ghillies (approx. $40/pair).
